The touch controllers certainly feel more comfortable and natural, compared to its predecessor. Each controller is powered with 1 x AA battery.

The Quest 2 gives approximately 2 hours of gameplay on a single charge, and up to approx. 3 hours when watching media or browsing. At any point, you can check the battery status of your headset in the Oculus App settings or in VR via Oculus Home. With the provided USB-C power adapter, Quest 2 will charge to a full battery in about 2.5 hours.

There is a massive catalogue of games to choose from with a few demos available to try before you buy. Some recommended titles include Beat Saber and the Vader Immortal Series. Developed by Oculus Studios – Echo VR is a competitive zero-gravity multiplayer game, which is free to download.

The Home Environment has been redesigned with more customisability and the Quest 2’s high-res display allows a more captivating experience when browsing the web or watching videos. The built-in positional audio is fantastic, without the need for headphones. Its surround sound-like feel gives a more richer and engaging gaming experience. For enhanced audio or private listening, you can plug in your headphones using the 3.5mm headphone jack, on the side of the headset.

Set up is made easy with the Oculus App, available on your smartphone or tablet. A Facebook account is required for the set up but this allows you to connect with Facebook friends and interact with each other in VR – whether that be gaming or watching films together. The Quest 2 has a customizable head strap and facial interface accessories that give you more choices for fit and comfort, so you can play your way. With a simple IPD adjustment mechanism built into the headset, people can easily find the best lens position for maximum visual clarity across a wide variety of face sizes and shapes. If you wear glasses a spacer is provided to insert into the headset to accommodate this.
