Islands Of Adventure Review:

Islands Of Adventure is one of two great theme parks at the Universal Orlando Resort and this theme park makes all the guests part of the most exhilarating entertainment ever created. It features some of the most thrilling and innovative rides and attractions ever made on seven spectacularly themed islands: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Marvel Super Hero Island, Toon Lagoon, Jurassic Park, The Lost Continent, Seuss Landing and Port of Entry. It has been voted the World’s Best Theme Park for the fourth year running!

As one of the World’s best theme parks, it does not fail at entertaining guests. The theming of each area, especially The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is incredible. You feel like your actually living the Harry Potter films in Hogsmeade, as you can visit all the shops featured in the films. Don’t forget the butterbeer as well! the sight of Hogwarts Castle is truly breathtaking, replicating the iconic landmark from the films.

Inside Hogwarts is the spectacular “Harry Potter and The Forbidden Journey” which is a unique high tech ride throwing you into the films alongside your favourite characters. The queue building up to the ride is also amazing as you explore the well-known areas of the Castle with the iconic moving pictures, the Sorting Hat and more.

Flight of The Hippogriff is the other ride in Hogsmeade that is a small but fun roller-coaster involving you riding Hagrid’s Hippogriff as it travels at high speeds through the air. Another Harry Potter ride is currently under construction and is set to be one of Universal’s most themed attractions ever.

Marvel Superhero Island certainly offers a real thrill for guests with rides that take your breath away. The Incredible Hulk coaster is one of the most impressive rides at Islands Of Adventure, accelerating you into multiple twists and turns from the very start. Along with Doctor Doom’s Fearfall that drops you unexpectantly to incredible heights, this is certainly the area with the most thrills. Also in this area is The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man as he takes you through a dangerous 4D adventure with his evil villains while reporting for The Daily Bugle. This ride also simulates a 400-foot freefall, making it an outstanding, interactive ride. Don’t forget to meet your favourite heroes while you’re there! The Marvel Character Buffet is also a great experience to try out especially as a family.

Islands of Adventure brings Jurassic Park and Jurassic World alive. The thrilling water ride, Jurassic Park’s River Adventure, plunges you down a pitch black 85 foot as you escape the danger of the dinosaurs. You will almost definitely require a towel with 1.5 billion gallons of water being used on the ride!

Come face to face with raptors at the brand new Raptor Encounter. You can visit the raptor, Blu, in his containment area. A unique experience and a great photo opportunity, if you’re brave enough!

Seuss Landing brings the stories and characters from Dr Seuss’ books to life. Take a spin through the world of The Cat In The Hat or prepare for a soak on One Fish Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish as you control your very own fish, dodging water cannons. The High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride tours Seuss Landing from above with a great commentary. A theme park wouldn’t be complete without a carousel or in this case the family-friendly Caro-Seuss-el.
