Gulliver’s Gate Review:

Gulliver’s Gate is a unique New York tourist attraction that is home to many miniature replicas and depictions of civilisation utilising ingenious mechanisms and design-features to entertain multiple audiences of tourists and future-architects.  This 50,000 square foot museum is packed with intricate detail with examples including the triggering mechanism of carousels and chicken coops using keys given to guests upon arrival which can then be kept as great souvenirs. The stand-out and most interesting attraction within Gulliver’s Gate is the model of New York City. It visually describes the monumental breadth of the city and is a lot to take in with the immense detail. It also depicts the terrain through the clustering of sky-scrapers, the models give a new perspective of the city, as you’ve never seen it before. Not only is there a model of NYC, but you can also find multiple models of different landmarks from Italy, Britain, Asia, South America and much more. Specific landmarks include the Colosseum, the Pyramids, the Panama Canal and the Great Wall of China. In total, 50 nations are represented with 300 small-scale scenes. There are over 1,000 meters of railroad track, thousands of trucks, trains, boats, planes and cars, and 100,000
people, all of which contribute to an original museum.

Most of the models in the museum are created using a 1:87 scale. To put it in perspective, a 6-foot tall person would be represented with a 0.8-inch figure. Gulliver’s Gate also features a full-body scanner combined with a 3D printer to allow guests to make miniature models of themselves that can then be taken home as a souvenir. Alternatively, guests can leave behind their model as a permanent “model citizen” of the attraction.

On average, it takes around 1 hour and 30 minutes to experience the whole attraction but of course, this can vary depending on your personal experience. While the price point is high, compared to other NYC attractions, the admission price is fairly reasonable. The entertainment level is maintained as you explore the attraction into more detail.
