The World Premiere for Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) in London
The World Premiere for Birds of Prey was held in London on the 29th January at the BFI IMAX. The star-studded cast was in attendance including Margot Robbie, the star of the film who reprises the role of Harley Quinn for the first time after Suicide Squad.
Margot Robbie was is a producer on this film, having pitched the idea for an all-female spin-off, at the time of Suicide Squad’s release. The film gives a deeper insight into Harley Quinn’s character, from what we saw in Suicide Squad, taking place after her break-up with the Joker. Robbie is also set to play Quinn again in the sequel to Suicide Squad, which is slated for release in August 2021.
Receiving rave reviews, this an all-female spin-off, directed and written by women with Director Cathy Yan at the helm. Bird Of Prey sees Harley team up with a new all-female gang, including Huntress (Winstead), Black Canary (Smollett-Bell) and Renee Montoya (Perez) in order to save a young girl from crime lord Black Mask (Ewan McGregor).
Birds Of Prey is a unique R-Rated, 15 certificate movie that provides an action-packed, fun-filled movie experience with creativity in this popular, over-done genre. From wacky and sophisticated fight sequences to dark humour, this film has it all.
Birds Of Prey will be released in Cinemas on the 7th February 2020.
